Not just recovered. Free.

Most ED treatment is built for crisis. Very little of it is built for the years after, when you're technically “fine,” but still negotiating with your body every day.

The part nobody prepares you for

You did the treatment. You said the right things. On paper, you're fine. And still, a quiet part of every day goes to food noise, to rules you swore you'd stopped following, to a running commentary you can't turn off.

That gap between recovered and free is where most of my work lives. It isn't a relapse and it isn't failure. It's an unfinished conversation between you and your body.

Beyond the label

This work is for people well past the acute stage who don't want to be treated like a diagnosis anymore. Including athletes and active people caught between fitness/training goals and having a healthy relationship with food, body, and mind.

You are not a chart, a level of care, or a set of behaviors to be monitored. We work with the whole person, including the parts that had good reasons for developing this in the first place.

What freedom actually looks like

Thinking about food less. Moving because it feels good AND allowing yourself to have fitness and body goals without hating your current state. Being able to be in your body at dinner, on vacation, in a relationship, on an ordinary Tuesday, without the negotiation running underneath it.

The goal isn't just staying recovered. It's building a life that doesn't revolve around managing it.

This might sound familiar

  • You've been through a lot of therapy and you want to actually change.
  • You want to think about food less and still feel at home in your body.
  • You want a relationship with movement that doesn't pull you backward.
  • You're tired of talking about it inside a label.
  • You want the work to go somewhere, not circle.

How I work with this

  • The Blau Method™ — created by Dr. Carli Blau, who clinically supervises my work — alongside psychodynamic and somatic inquiry.
  • ACT for eating disorders, so values lead and the old rules lose their authority.
  • Relational work on the patterns underneath, including perfectionism and control.
  • A typical 12-week working structure with goals worked every session.

How we begin

We start with a free 15 minute consult so I can hear the basics about why you're coming to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. From there we typically work in a 12-week structure, with goals worked every session.
