How I work
A clear structure, held warmly.
You should know what therapy with me looks like before you book anything. Here is the process, the approaches behind it, and what it costs.

The process, step by step
01
A free 15-minute consultation
We talk by video. You say what brings you in, I say how I work, and we both decide whether it is a fit. No cost, no pressure, no intake paperwork first.
02
We name what we are working on
Early sessions set direction. Not a vague intention to feel better — specific goals we can work each week and actually measure against your own life.
03
A twelve-week working structure
I typically work in a twelve-week structure with goals worked every session, so the hour has a shape rather than restarting each time.
04
We check what is shifting
We look openly at what is changing and what is not, and adjust. If something is not working, let's say so rather than let it drift.
05
What comes after
Some people finish a chapter and stop. Some keep going into deeper work. Both are legitimate endings, and we decide it together rather than by attrition.
What guides the room
Four things you can count on
Warm and direct
I will say the true thing kindly. I do not sit in silence while you struggle to say the hard sentence.
Insight is a start
Understanding your patterns fluently is not the same as living differently. The work is the change.
The body is information
I work from a somatic lens. What your body is doing during a conversation is data, not a distraction.
Whole person, not a chart
Trauma-informed and IFS-informed throughout. No one here is reduced to a diagnosis or a level of care.
Modalities
Trained in many things. Loyal to none of them.
I use what the work in front of me calls for. My practice is trauma-informed and IFS-informed throughout.
- The Blau Method™
- A structured therapeutic approach focused on honesty, accountability, and behavior change. I am clinically supervised by its founder, Dr. Carli Blau.
- Psychodynamic & psychoanalytic
- Looking at the pattern underneath the pattern: what formed it, what keeps it, and what it costs you now.
- Somatic inquiry
- Your body keeps its own record. We listen to it rather than talking over it.
- Relational therapy
- What happens between us in the room is information about what happens everywhere else.
- ACT for eating disorders
- Acceptance and commitment work aimed at a life you actually want, not a set of rules to follow.
- CBT
- Practical work on the thoughts and behaviors that keep a loop running.
- Motivational Interviewing
- For the part of you that wants change and the part that isn’t sure yet. Both are welcome.
- Existential psychotherapy
- The larger questions — meaning, freedom, mortality, choice — taken seriously.
- Mindfulness
- Attention as a skill, practiced rather than preached.
