Good Faith Estimate

Last updated: August 2026

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost when you are uninsured or are not planning to submit a claim to your insurance.

Your right to an estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for non-emergency services before you schedule, and at any time on request. The estimate is provided in writing at least one business day before your first session, and it includes the expected cost per session and the anticipated length of the work.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Keep a copy or picture of your estimate. For questions or more information, visit cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
